Mardi Gras Party

Residents at The Watermark at Trinity celebrated Mardi Gras all day! Residents were welcomed to Bourbon Street by a Jester and a Mardi Gras street scene wrapped around the entire dining room! Guests and residents were given masks, beads, and bowler hats so they could get in the Mardi Gras spirit. The band was led by vocalist Lorri Hafer, and she was accompanied by friends from the Hernando Jazz Society. Mike Hafer, her husband, played the piano while her son Paul, played the stand up bass. Wayne Pierson delighted the crowd with the clarinet and the saxophone. The drummer, Eddie Graham, used his drumsticks on anything and everything from tables to wheelchairs to water glasses as he made his way around the room! Bob Thomas played the banjo to give the band a little extra flavor. Residents and guests enjoyed Cinnamon King Cakes and Hurricanes. It was truly an entertaining party that residents are still buzzing about! Until next year, Laissez les bon temps rouler or “Let the good times roll!”
