The Watermark at Trinity was thrilled to offer our Assisted Living residents an exciting Extraordinary Outing this past week. Watermark Retirement Communities created extraordinary outings to ensure that special trips and experiences are still possible for our residents. All of our communities are committed to offering amazing opportunities for our residents to thrive outside of our communities, to challenge traditional assumptions of what is possible for our residents at this point in their lives. Extraordinary outings allow our residents to see new places, to experience and learn new things, and to revisit places and opportunities they thought were only in their past.
The Watermark at Trinity reserved a private VIP “behind the scenes” tour of the museum which is located on the University of Florida campus. Residents began the day with a picnic lunch located outside of the museum and the weather was perfect! They got to learn about butterfly identification, butterfly lifecycles, Biodiversity collections, landscaping and food sources, as well as the Rearing Lab to see the stages of butterfly development from larvae to butterfly up close and personal. They also witnessed a butterfly release into the “Rainforest”. It was a successful Extraordinary Outing! A big thank you to Angela Cocchiarella and Diane Behringer from The Florida Museum of Natural History for making this such a special event for our community!
